A collection where every stroke is a prayer, The Pen’s Pilgrimage honors the sacred tradition of Srikalahasti Pen Kalamkari, where art is created entirely by hand using the kalam—a hand-carved bamboo pen. Unlike block-printed Kalamkari, this ancient technique allows artisans to paint flowing forms of mythology, temple narratives, and natural motifs with remarkable freedom and expression. Inspired by the storytelling scrolls once created for temples in Andhra Pradesh, each piece is patiently hand-painted with natural dyes derived from roots, bark, and minerals, transforming fabric into a living canvas.
